In 2008, at the age of 19, Daniel recalls sitting in front of his computer and crying. He was crying because he was reading about kids as young as 4 and 5 walking every day to collect dirty water, water that carries disease and ends up killing their brothers and sisters. It was in that moment that Daniel knew he wanted to do something to help.
After learning that 900 million people didn’t have access to clean water, all while we were spending $50 billion on bottled water, Daniel set out on his mission to make a difference. Every company has a story, and Daniel reveals why every company should share theirs with the world.
In this episode, he takes us right back to the time when he started to build Thankyou. He also shares details of the business plan that took off last year when they finally entered a new market in New Zealand. Daniel also talks about his experience being interviewed by Former US President Barack Obama at the Obama Foundation Summit.
This is an unmissable episode. You will hear from Daniel about the importance of running a company with integrity, the mistakes you need to avoid when building a social enterprise, and where to put all your focus when push comes to shove.
